A district where every student, teacher and parent is supported.

An administration (= superintendent + board) aligned with our community's goals for an outstanding education that serves effectively to the diverse needs of every student learner.

We advocate for an administration that is student-centered, transparent, accountable, respectful and collaborative with the district’s community. 

 

We recognize that tough decisions are inevitable in any school district. However, 

• The current administration consistently makes critical choices about curriculum, programs (like professional development and student enrichment) and funding behind closed doors, ignoring the voices of our teachers, parents, and community and with very little oversight from the finance committee. There is no accountability. 

• The district’s budget is mismanaged, with excessive administrative spending, a consistent move away from student facing programs and positions, and a disregard for cost efficient and impactful professional development. 

• A vast majority of our dedicated teachers and staff have lost faith in the administration.

 

We need new leadership now, not in 10 months, so we can begin rebuilding the trust, and funding, that have been lost.

We are a grassroots coalition of student advocates made up of current parents and community members who are committed to public education and believe students' needs and programs should be prioritized.
